For subcontractors, a customer security questionnaire can quickly become more than a compliance exercise. When an important customer requires stronger access controls, meeting those requirements can determine whether the contract continues.
For this 90-person subcontractor, the customer required SSO, MFA, and access restricted to approved devices.
Before HENNGE
The subcontractor was already using Google Workspace Business Standard, giving employees SSO and MFA for their Google accounts. The gap was controlling access based on the device being used.
The customer's security review required the company to show that users couldn't access sensitive applications from just any device. MFA needed to be enforced alongside a control that limited access to devices approved by the company.
The subcontractor received a quote of $14 per user/month on an annual contract for an enterprise identity platform that could provide the additional access controls.
For 90 employees, that meant committing more than $15,000 a year to meet the requirement and keep an important customer contract moving.
After HENNGE
With HENNGE Identity, the MSP adds approved-device access control alongside the client's existing authentication setup.
Device certificates are issued to devices the MSP has approved for company access. HENNGE Identity can then require both successful authentication and a valid device certificate before access is granted.
That gives the subcontractor the additional control needed for the security review without replacing its existing Google Workspace environment or committing to a higher-cost annual identity contract.
With those controls in place, the subcontractor passes the review and keeps the contract.
The client saves $11,340 a year
The enterprise IdP quote was $14 per user/month on an annual contract.
For 90 employees:
Enterprise IdP:
$14 × 90 users × 12 months
= $15,120/year
HENNGE Identity:
$3.50 × 90 users × 12 months
= $3,780/year
Maximum savings:
$11,340
/year
The price difference also gives the MSP room to build margin into the service.
At $3.50 per user/month, there's up to $10.50 per user/month of pricing room before reaching the quoted enterprise IdP price.
For example, pricing HENNGE Identity at $7 per user/month would still save the client $7,560 per year while creating $3,780 in annual recurring margin for the MSP.
Pricing note: This example is based on a $14 per user/month enterprise IdP quote with an annual commitment. HENNGE Identity at $3.50 per user/month saves $10.50 per user every month while keeping the billing flexible.
